Since season 4, the Cup starts in the sixth division: only D6 clubs play the first round. Higher divisions then enter in stages โ D5 in round two, D4 in round three, D3 in round four, then D2 and D1 in round nine.
A round can therefore hold more matches than the one before it: that is the arrival of new entrants, not a glitch. Seasons 1 to 3 followed a different format, where every division entered from the first round. Their honours remain viewable exactly as they were played.

Every country enters two clubs: its top-division champion and its national cup winner. If one club has done the double, the cup runner-up takes the place instead.
The game's 223 countries therefore send 446 clubs. But group-stage places are limited: 32 for Europe, 24 for Asia and South America, 16 for Africa and North America, 8 for Oceania.
With far more entrants than places, preliminary rounds decide who goes through. The best-ranked clubs from the previous season are exempt and enter the group stage directly; the rest meet over two legs.

The Sportiflow score accounts for wins (3 pts), draws (1 pt), KO losses (0.5 pt), goals scored (ร0.15) and positive goal difference (ร0.10). Each result is weighted by competition prestige (World Cup ร3, Continental Cup ร1.5) and recency (S3=100%, S2=85%, S1=70%).
Knockout rounds multiply points (ร1.3 in R16, ร1.6 in quarters, ร2.0 in semis, ร2.5 in final), and podium bonuses are added. The final score uses a fixed scale of 0โ~100 pts โ the World Cup winner does not automatically reach 100, because match quality and goal tallies genuinely shape the score.
